What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure that uses fine crystals and a vacuum to remove dead skin cells. It can be used on the face, neck, chest, back and hands.
The aim is to reduce fine lines, minor scars, wrinkles and age spots. And make the skin smoother and younger looking.
A doctor will cleanse the area with an antiseptic cream or gel before applying a topical anesthetic cream to numb the area. Then they’ll use a hand-held instrument called a microdermabrasion tool. To gently rub the surface of the skin in small circular motions.
The tool has several different sized crystals at its tip that are designed. To remove dead cells from the surface of the skin. This helps reduce fine lines and other signs of aging.
Once you’re done with your treatment, you’ll usually have some sunburned skin for about 24 hours after treatment because of all the blood loss caused by removing dead cells from your face. You may also feel tenderness or discomfort in some areas after treatment as well as redness or swelling in those areas for several days following treatment.
How Does Microdermabrasion Work?
Microdermabrasion uses medical grade crystals to treat skin issues ranging from dull and yellowish areas, large pores and anti-aging. This treatment is done by applying medical grade crystals on the skin’s surface with a hand held device over a vacuum directly on to the outer layer of the skin’s surface. These crystals are then vacuumed away immediately removing visibly dead cells.
